Lesson No. 554 “But the Fruit of the Spirit is...."
Galatians Chapter 5 02/21/2021
1) Liberty of Christ, freedom, entangled in the yoke of bondage?? What is Paul talking about in verse 1?
2) What the heck does Paul mean in verse 2? Does Christ abandon the Jews under the law? See verse 3-4.
3) In verse 5 what brings salvation? Does circumcision or no circumcision produce 'righteousness' or salvation? (Who does?)
4) The backsliding Christian goes through verses 7 to 10 when sinning becomes habit or acceptable (not just one time). What did Jesus say about the Pharisees and how they affected the Jewish nation?
5) Explain to me verses 11-12!
6) Let's look closely at verses 13-15. Where does this apply in our lives? How about in all relationships! What exactly is this liberty Paul talks about?
7) Paul affirms the spiritual battle we are all in (verses 16-18) of which we will have here on earth. So how do we defeat the flesh?
8) Are there no ‘good works’ of the flesh? See verses 19-21. And, if I do any of these things do I go to hell? Verse 21 sounds like that!
9) Let's look at the fruit of the spirit in verses 22-23 in contrast to the 'works' of the flesh. How can we do and be all that?
10) Paul says those of us in Christ have 'crucified the flesh with affections and lusts'? (verses 24-26) Has Paul done this? (check out Romans 7: 14-25) This is the Christian struggle. Can we overcome sin? Can we try?
